Acne is a skin condition which predominantly affects teenagers. Acne is extremely common as it its causes, build ups of oil and dirt on the skin, can occur so easily and often. For example, let me ask you a question: do you sleep in a shirt sleeved shirt? If your answer is, “yes, I do”, then you may be damaging your chances of getting rid of your acne quickly. “Why is that?”, you mask ask. Well, the grease that builds up on your arms can be transferred onto your face when you sleep on your arm during the night, leading to a greater chance of you developing acne. By switching to sleeping in a long sleeved top, you can greatly reduce your chances of suffering an acne outbreak. There are many other ways to reduce the likelihood of getting acne. These include:
1) Washing your face regularly with soap. This is an obvious yet vital way to prevent suffering from acne. By washing your face twice a day, once in the morning and once at night before going to bed, you can keep your skin clean and ensure you don’t get any pimples. By using some lemon juice while washing, you can make your skin even healthier.
2) Avoid picking pimples and spots. This is something I’m sure we’ve all heard from our mothers at one stage of our lives however, it is great advice. Picking at pimples causes them to spread and leads to a greater chance that your skin will be left scarred after the acne has cleared up.
3) Avoid spending too long in the sun. The sun’s rays can be extremely damaging to your skin so try to avoid spending long hours out in it. If you do spend a lot of time in the sun, be sure to apply sunscreen in order to reduce the effect of the sun’s rays on the show.
These tips are extremely simple and easy to follow and have been proven to be extremely effective in preventing and fighting acne. Following these tips will ensure you can keep this skin disease at bay and keep your skin healthy and smooth.
